Every Nightmare Has A Beginning

In this prequel to one of the most successful sci-fi thrillers of the last decade, a new group of unwilling participants frantically moves through an ominous construct of cube-shaped rooms. Each room holds the threat of hideously inventive and painful death. Finding the real exit, however, may not offer the freedom one seeks.

Notes
Trivia: In the monitor room at the beginning of the movie, there is a blurred shot of a controller for an Atari 2600 as the CD of Ryjkin's demise is being collected. (more)

Goofs: Revealing mistakes: When Wynn enters the Cube from the Elevator, in the reverse shot we see that the back of the door as it slides back is a flat blue plywood sheet with only a screw upon which the "handle" from the other side spins. All of the rest of the doors and cubes are, and consistently must be heavily metal constructed with functional "handles" on both sides. (more)

Quotes:
Dodd: What are you doing? You're not allowed in there.
Eric Wynn: I'm through pushing buttons.
